TOPSILENT Bitex

Air induction noises spread out in the air until meeting an obstacle such as a wall or a flooring. When they hit the obstacle they cause a vibration of one per cent. A part of such noise hitting the obstacle will reflect, another part will be absorbed and the remaining part will pass over to the back surface. The purpose of sound insulation is to prevent such sound transition between the walls and flooring.

Air induction noise: Noises such as speaking, the sound of the TV etc. transmitted with pressure difference created in the air. Such types of noises in buildings, also outdoor noises (traffic etc.) as indoor noises are transmitted through the walls, flooring and ceilings. They are defined as the reduction value (Rw) of the noise passing from one surface to the other of the wall. Even though rigid structure elements ensuring the increase of a unit weight increase the noise reduction value, they are not efficient in critical frequencies. heavy sound insulation barriers with high elasticity are used for an efficient sound insulation at critical frequencies and minimum thickness.
